Reimbursement

The Dermazoom Scan is an innovative diagnostic technique that is currently not reimbursed by your health insurer. According to the health insurers, this method is still too new and there is no official declaration code for it yet. That is why you will receive a separate invoice from our clinic for this scan.

What is reimbursed?
If the scan or other examination shows that there is skin cancer or a suspicion of skin cancer, medical treatments will follow on the advice of the dermatologist. These treatments are covered by the insured care and are reimbursed by all Dutch health insurers from the basic insurance, provided you have a valid referral letter from your general practitioner.

Please note: the way in which declarations are processed and reimbursed can vary per insurer, depending on their internal policy and administrative process.
